Could have been better.

I honestly felt that this wasn't too good, but that's just me. The percussion was very poor, in my opinion, and needs to be worked on. The kick wasn't effective at all. Your synth was good, as was the flow of the song, but what I didn't enjoy was the sudden change at 2:14 from 4/4 to what really seemed like 2/4 in terms of the synth use up until 2:50 (with another sudden transition), and the claps did nothing to back it up.

It definitely needs some work. Please take this review to heart; I am not trying to bash your work! I am hoping you get better. =)

DJ DooDah: No offence man, but I really didn't understand half of what you said... If you could speak in a less scientifical language maybe...
We really did our best on this stuff, and don't get disappointed, there's a lot more to come...

Not bad.

So this used to be one second before the one minute extension?

Joking aside, I think you did pretty well. It's 1:30 am, so I'm not going to leave anything spectacular. What you have is basic, but that's not a bad thing here. It could be slightly better on the percussion side, but that's just me. Great job overall.

*nods head* ic ic...your right..the percussion coulda been a lil better. I'll do better next time! ^_^v

Underdriven.

This remix wasn't that great when keeping in mind the original song by DJ Scot Project, in my opinion. Some of the notes in the melody were altered significantly and not in an enhanced or better way when I feel the melody would have been better kept in its original form. The new original melody that you brought wasn't too bad with its high pitched notes and oriental feeling. The end was rather abrupt.

The synth you used here could have been much better. The bass was lacking a harder, more dignified stance. Percussion was top notch, however.

Ultimately, I feel the notes of all the melodies should have been kept original. The alterations really did not appeal to me, and neither did the synth used in producing those melodies. I think this remix can really be improved if the will came to it.

A-New-Decade responds:

Hmmm...I see. I'll take that into account next time I remix something.

Amazing Piece

I was absolutely stunned at the beginning! My eyes literally widened from the surprise that I had been given. The synth, the percussion, the bass--it's all flawless. Favoriting this song. Very very nice job, I'd LOVE to hear more songs like this from you!

GroundForce responds:

cool thanks for favoriting!!

i'm currently working on a new original ^^

Good, albeit "happy".

I can't say much about the "happy" side of trance (don't like it much), but this was actually rather interesting. May I ask where the vocals came from? The voice, while it may be altered, is very unique. I like it a lot. I'm not all for the words, but the voice fits perfectly. Nice job!

GroundForce responds:

lol yea my brother hates this happy stuff too ^^

the vox is from a sample CD: VIP Zone - GENTLEMAN'S PITCHED VOCALS

Simple, but sweet.

Sounds like some 80s porn, especially starting at 0:48 up to 0:56! *dances*

It's quite simple, but I think that's a good thing here. There's really not much else for me to say since it's under Miscellaneous. Good work!

corvet responds:

You know, you were right about the porn. I never noticed that before. In fact, you inspired me to make an entire porn song. Thank you.

Great Stuff

Thanks for informing me of the new track submitted to NG. It's just as great as your previous tracks submitted, if not better (okay, it is better)!

Very good collaboration. The use of reverb made it ultra trance-like, and I absolutely love that. I really enjoyed all the synth that was put into this. Percussion was top-notch. The melody was truly awesome.

I could go on and on, but we'll leave it at that. Keep it up, my friend!

(If anybody rates this song a 0-4, see to it that they're put on your hit list, because they do not truly understand what trance is!)

Pulstate responds:

Thanks mate! :)

Good Stuff

Very nice and calm. Pads went well with the bass, as did everything. This could become a very wonderful song. Keep it up!

Dj-Toby responds:

Thanks imn!

Loved It

This was really good, I enjoyed it all, although I'm unsure about what the noise was at the beginning (I'm assuming some transition taking place). Good use of synth and bass, and the percussion was simple. I always like listening to synth more anyway! However, if I was one to nag people on their percussion, I'd say to add a little variation, just slightly.

By the way, what version of FL Studio do you have? Thanks in advance for answering the question should you answer it!

Dj-Toby responds:

lol. Thanks.

Yeah, I kind of mest up in the beginning becuase of the delay at the end O.O I guess I need to fix that. Critisize me on drums? Come on dude, you have mest up percussion sometimes!

I use Fl studio 5, 6, and 7. For this one I used fl stsudio 5! Thanks for the review!

Very Good

I could easily recognize that this was a remix of Liquid Skies by Kai Tracid. Very rich sounds. I can't say too much about the 55-second sample, but I can say that you should keep it up and finish it if you haven't already.

DreamGate responds:

uep but "liquid skies" didn't fit so it's just "liquid" :P my biggest problem is the kick, can't get it to fit :P we'll see if i finish it (: thx for the rev man

I'm a creative person - music, art, writing, I mess with it all. I currently use FL Studio 7 (thanks DJ-Nightmare!) to produce electronica and video game music.
